Bar/Bat Mitzvah Unit Prep Assignment
This assignment asks students to research the various terms associated with Bar/Bat Mitzvah. Additionally, students will reflect upon what becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah means to them. The purpose of this activity is generate discussion points revolving around important milestones within the Jewish life cycle.
My Jewish community embraces the needs of others by having a mitzvah day at the community center every year. They have many activity’s that you can sign up for like, making sandwiches for people who need them, sorting/ donating clothing, donating hair for people who have cancer, and much more. Also at our school every month we have a dress down days, where everyone can dress in there own cloths instead of their uniform and in order to do so, you bring money for the monthly charity.
