Grade 6: Jewish Studies Update

Shabbat Shalom!

We have begun discussing the Jewish life cycle in our Jewish Studies class.  This week the students brainstormed and created a diagram to predict the various steps of the life cycle.

We have begun taking notes in class on key information.

Here is the link for our classes Google Slides Presentation. These slides contain our notes/activity information. Students are asked to copy/type (their choice) the bolded information into their respective notes section. Each student should have a section of their binder/ a separate Google Doc to contain and organize their notes in one place.

Students have also been assigned the Mishpacha Project. This project asks students to interview parents/family members to learn more about their family history. Students should also be researching their Hebrew name as well. Attached you will find that assignment and corresponding rubric.

Students will be asked to present the project starting on Friday October 19th. Students have the option to either create a slide show on the computer or a poster to present their family history/Hebrew name research.
