The first week of Hebrew at school! So exciting : )

So First thing First, starting with the end in mind : )  we had conversations on the Seven Habits and Schools Northen Stars. At this point, we are translating through the keywords in our study books, the rationale is to learn by games, and we will make our own memory games – a big competition to see who has the best memory mussels is coming up – once we will get these cards all ready for the game.

I made you some example of the assignments that will make your final test. It covers part of what you would have on the test at the end of the year. The test will have a few more assignments which I will share with you later on.

With respect to the level of understanding you demonstrated, it shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes a day for you to complete it.

2. Use the song lyrics on the next page to locate all the שמות פועל – names of verbs – in the song.
If needed, use the dictionary.

Shalom everyone!
We are learning Hebrew core in two main ways at the moment.
The baseline is that we learn about the foundations of Hebrew linguistics such as: verbs conjugation, basic Hebrew building blocks like male/female words, singular/plural, and so fourth.
We do that by following the text books – in all three classes – and having additional tailored assignments for each class.

In grade 7 & 8 we further the learning by personal projects. Each class is working on a particular project. The students incorporate their earlier learning of this year into the project.

Updates, assignments, reflections and tastes of class actions will be posted soon.
