Experiential Learning

The students have been presenting their projects this week. One presentation focused on Taanit Esther. After the student explained the laws of fasting, she gave everyone a marshmallow and told them not to eat if for a while. She spoke about hunger and how we need to appreciate how fortunate we are to have food and a place to live.

Today, another student presented the laws of Lag B’omer. She differentiated between Israel and the rest of the world.

Grade 7 Ivrit class presented their beautiful VR projects

On Thursday, my wonderful Grade 7  students presented their VR projects on Tzfat. I’m so very proud of their work and dedication towards this project.

Unfortunately you aren’t able to watch them through the special goggles, just know it looks really awesome through there.

Review of the past week’s activities

We opened the week by a Hebrew conversation about what students did in the Hannukah Holiday. During the week we played memory games to refresh our vocabulary, we read text from our textbook, translated it and answered a set of questions about it. Later on, we had two activities of group vocabulary practice and a competitive game of reading comprehension based on the text we learned earlier.

At the end of the week, the students recorded and sent a Hebrew happy birthday and feel better notes to peers who missed school on Friday.
